July 10-17 we hopped in the van and headed to Minnesota. We had rented a cabin called Knot A Care. We were stuck in traffic several times for roadwork. Here we are sitting on the back deck of our cabin.

A family pose in front of Lake Washburn in the back of the cabin.

We are all set for a week of adventure with a canoe, a kayak, and a paddleboat.

The week involved a lot of this.

Enjoying a family meal. YUM!

All set for FUN!

Jesse, Katelyn, and the USA birthday's

Birthdays galore have been happening in the Roose Report Household. First, Jesse turned 19 years old and started on his last year as a teenager. Eleven days later Katelyn turned sweet 16 with a license to drive. Finally, our country celebrated it's 233rd birthday! Wowza!!!!!!!!

Katelyn gave Jesse three packs of Altoids and a California car duster.

Sharon jumped on a good deal at Stravers for a camping chair fit for a king.

Hmmmmm...wonder what this could be?

Never thought this day would come...

Motel Time - June 13, 2009

We headed up to Michigan on June 12 for Joel and Sarah's wedding. While we were up there we stayed at a Super 8 in Hudsonville, headed to the Great Harvest Bread Company and walked out with five bags of bread. We did have a few strange glances cast our way, but we didn't care. :)
When we got back to the hotel we took a few pictures...

Computer Time!!!!

Jesse relaxing on his air mattress bed and browsing the internet.

Tim kindly took a break from his computer to smile for the camera.

Sharon posed for a picture with her trusty computer by her side.

And Katelyn managed to find time to smile for the photo in between Facebook and browsing the net.

Now we didn't keep all that Great Harvest Bread to ourselves...we gave it to those who paid us to pick up a loaf or two for them. And of course the rasberry scone for Uncle Jim.
Katelyn to Uncle Jim: "Am I your favorite niece now?"

Mackenzie and Katelyn showing some cousinly love.

Aunt Sharon and Mackenzie checking out http://www.roosereport.com/.

Aunt Arlene and Uncle Jim...awwww cute couple.

Aunt Arlene eventually had to hold Levi for a picture because all the pictures taken of him looked like the following...

...Gone before the camera could catch him...

However, Levi got a photo snapped of him while he was rolling his eyes, and Jaren got in the picture too. "Hi Jaren!"

Mini Golf

Last Saturday, June 6, 2009, our family went mini golfing with Grandpa Van Mersbergen at Vernard College. We all had a lot of fun.

Jesse lined up for a hole-in-one.
