Hey Everyone,
We are Tim, Sharon, Jesse, and Katelyn Roose. We decided to keep everyone who is interested updated on our family happenings.
Tim works as a telecommunications engineer for MidAmerican Energy. He drives to Urbandale 4 days a week and 1 day to Oskaloosa where he set up a small office space to work. Tim has been on the church council for the past three years. At the end of this year, he will be finishing his term which will give him fewer meetings to go to. Tim is involved with the projection and video teams at church. He enjoys working with computers and electronics.
Sharon has a child daycare in her home. She cares for 6 children ages 3 months through 4 years. Although some days she feels like a referee, other days are full of fun and laughter. She enjoys making soy candles. Her business is called Candela Rose and she makes soy candles to sell. Sharon is the director and one of the storytellers of the Children's Worship Ministry in our church. During the school year, she is busy supporting Jesse in football, along with Katelyn in drill team and the school musical.
Jesse is a senior at Pella Christian High School. He loved being a part of the football team and they had a very exciting year. As only a third year varsity team, PCHS Football made it to state quarterfinals and were district champions. He is starting to make plans for next fall, however nothing is for sure yet. Jesse is part of the video team in church. He also enjoys computers and electonic devices.
Katelyn is a freshman at Pella Christian High School. She is active in the Pella Christian High "Shine" drill team. Dance is one of her passions so drill team is very important to her. PCHS drill team took three numbers to the state competition December 5&6 in Des Moines, IA. Among the dances was a "Little Old Lady" routine in which they dressed in granny dresses, bloomers, and moved with walkers. "Little Old Ladies" took the first, first place trophey in PCHS drill team history. She was a chorus member in "Return to the Forbidden Planet" which Pella Christian put on as their fall musical. Katelyn found it to be a great way to hang out with friends and learn fun songs and choreography. Katelyn helps with children's worship in our church as a greeter.
Tim and Sharon are celebrating their 26th anniversary today. Because the ice has made driving rather difficult, we have had to change our plans from a Des Moines outing to a Pella adventure. The weather is renewing memories of their wedding day when the weather was rainy and foggy.
Stay tuned for our next report...
